Irenidae - Fairy-bluebirds

Fairy-bluebirds are the size of crows and have strong, curved bills. Males are a deep blue and females are duller in color.

The Asian fairy-bluebird is found throughout tropical Southern Asia.The Philippine fairy-bluebird is found in the Philippines.

Fairy-bluebirds are found in the rainforest and at forest edges. They spend most of their time in trees where they move from branch to branch, searching for food. They are fruit eaters and are especially fond of figs!
